We support and develop hematological-related programming for children, individuals, and their families that have been diagnosed with a chronic blood disease or disorder. Our goal is to establish or strengthen care processes and programs for youth, adolescents, and young adults so patients and families can focus on their outcomes and futures.
Research showed us that support can come in many forms. We reviewed potential factors and decided that our three main focus areas give us the best opportunity to support and assist individuals and families while collaborating with medical and research facilities while contributing to their work.
The Better Blood Project was created to help individuals and their families, collaborate with medical and research personnel and facilities, and to support anyone that is trying to understand their diagnosis and health as they move forward.
We believe that some good must come from every bad situation. It took a few years to come to fruition, but we wanted to use an unwanted diagnosis as a catalyst for change, impact, and collaboration.
