Casey, a Research Public Health Analyst with RTI International and private psychologist, brings an expertise in neurodevelopment differences in individuals and families across research, hospital, home, school, and community settings. As a North Carolina licensed psychologist, she serves children, adults, and their families in a variety of roles.
Dr. Okoniewski played a key role in Early Check, a statewide newborn screening research program, and as an interventionist on the Parent-Infant Inter(X)action Intervention team. Additionally, she is an assessment expert, having collaborated on three NIH HEAL Initiative projects.
Casey brings a knowledge of mental and physical health to our team, having collaborated with a number of doctors and clinicians throughout the WakeMed, Duke University, and University of North Carolina hospital systems. She aims to empower individuals, their families, and support systems to access resources to live the best forms of themselves.
When she isn't screening newborns, providing assessments, or writing reports, you'll find Casey being "mama" to her two children.
